Read the Hunger Games in a day.
LOVED the book.  I know I’m late to the party on this series, but I’m so glad it was recommended to me because I literally could not put it down. I just kept reading, and reading, and reading till I just couldn’t read anymore.   If you haven’t read it, I thought it was very gripping. Give it a try.  It’s a young adult read, yes, but don’t let that stop you.  I...

When I left Minnesota, spring was FINALLY starting.  There were some flowers, temps in the upper 60’s… It was starting to become perfect.  Flew to Wyoming for a break. Needed a coat every day in Wyoming and it even snowed like crazy a few times.  30’s-upper 50’s if lucky. Come home to Atlanta and it’s in the 90’s. WHERE’S MY SPRING!?  It went winter,...

Having a great trip in Wyoming so far.  Friday, the boyfriend and I drove over to Yellowstone to see if we could find some of those elusive wolf packs and maybe a bear.  Our efforts were rewarded big time!  The first animal we saw upon entering the park was a gray wolf.  Unfortunately it wasn’t very close but it was still clearly a wolf, it was huge!  Even at a distance it was easy to see...

5 Unexpected Downsides of High Intelligence →
teacupanatomy: 5. You’re Probably a Night Owl (which is bad!) - Recently, scientists discovered a quirky side effect to having a high IQ: You tend to stay up until later hours and get up later in the morning. These sleeping habits mean you’re also three times more likely to suffer the symptoms of depression, as well as being at higher risk for heart disease and suffer more arterial stiffness...

New Favorite Thing: Drunk Natalie Portman
Watched No Strings Attached tonight, which, in all honesty is not a fantastic movie.  It’s cute, it’s funny, and I was entertained but it’s nothing all that exceptional. HOWEVER!  The scene where Natalie Portman is drunk and goes to Ashton Kutcher’s house had me laughing my ass off.  If you need a reason to see this movie, see it for Drunk Natalie. “You look like a...

So I was listening to "S&M" on the radio today
cassrose1003: and they edited it. And not the “sex in the air” part. They removed the words “chains” and “whips” (But chains and whips excite me). I thought it was interesting, as if I was younger, I’d have had no idea what she was alluding to. Plus, it sounded funny. LOL, great editing job there.

Homeless Chicago Man Donates Thousands to... →
“A year ago, everything was going right for a woman we’ll call Sandy.  She had a good job at a bank in the suburbs.  She and her 10-year-old son had a safe home. But then the world came crashing down around the 39-year-old. She lost her job. She lost her house. She moved into a hotel with the help of a social worker who paid for a few nights stay with her own money. That’s...

Does anyone know anything about Pure Barre (I...
I read a magazine that raved about this workout and I’m very interested, especially since it’s supposed to be gentle on the joints and thanks to fencing in college I have a messed up knee. Was curious if anyone else has done it.  I was thinking about taking some classes while in Atlanta this summer (in addition to running, so alternating a day of each with one day off every week). ...

Shattered Toes
fatben: So the day after Easter, at work, 309 pounds of stainless steel fell on my toes.  It was my fault, and I wasn’t wearing steel toe shoes.  I shattered the tip of my big toe and the one next to it.  Lost my big toe nail, the bone punctured the skin and I have stitches.  Next week is a busy week.  I am supposed to go on a 2 day golf outing, which is 5 hours away from here, and then drive to...

evilteabagger: With yesterday’s decision, Judge Gladys Kessler became the third judge to rule that the individual mandate to purchase health insurance built into last year’s health care overhaul legislation is constitutional. Like Judge George Steeh, a District court judge who ruled in favor of the mandate last October, Kessler’s ruling relies on the idea that Congress, under the the authority...

Need a distraction
I’m starting to panic that I didn’t do well on my international law final. I need something to distract me but I can’t think of anything to do. I didn’t fail… right?  How do I know if failed?  This is freaking me out! I HATE international law.  There was so much I felt like I could write but so little time, so much to go through. Must stop thinking about it.
